Manage a meeting

Use this page if you are responsible for an Overeaters Anonymous meeting and need to add a new meeting, update an existing listing, or cancel a meeting that has closed. Keeping meeting information current helps newcomers and members find recovery.

Resources

Add a new meeting

Use this option if you are registering a new OA meeting that does not already appear on the oa.org meeting list.

You’ll be asked for details such as meeting type (face-to-face, online, telephone, or hybrid), location or log-in information, and contact information for the meeting.

Key Reminder

Before you begin, please check the Find a meeting page to be sure your meeting is not already listed.

Edit an existing meeting

Use this option to update information for a meeting that is already listed on oa.org.

Common changes include: meeting day/time, meeting type (face-to-face, online, phone or non-real-time), meeting notes, login or phone details, or contact details.

Helpful hint

You may find it helpful to open your meeting’s listing on the Find a meeting page in another tab so you can copy the exact details.

Cancel a meeting

Use this option if your OA meeting has closed and should no longer appear on the oa.org meeting list.

Cancelling a meeting removes it from search results so newcomers and members do not try to attend a meeting that is no longer active.

Clarification

For temporary changes (for example, a short break or location change), please use Edit an existing meeting instead of cancelling.
