Service Body Bylaws Checklist

Last revised:

Have you reviewed your bylaws recently?

This is recommended every one to two years.

Have you selected a service body committee to review your bylaws?

This committee could be comprised of any active representatives or officers of your intergroup.

Has the committee looked for any recent changes that have occurred during World Service Business Conference or at the service body or region level?

Any of the service body’s region representatives or Conference delegates can assist in obtaining this information.

Have you shown the proposed changes to the service body?

The service body should be aware of any bylaw changes and have the opportunity to ask questions and vote on the proposed changes. The proposed bylaws can be published on the service body’s website or newsletter for a set period of time.

Have the proposed bylaw changes been submitted to the trustee assigned to your region?

The bylaws with the proposed changes must be submitted to your trustee for review. This should be done even if there are no proposed changes. Your trustee will add suggestions, if necessary, and, once completed, may submit them to the World Service Office.

OA Board-approved.
